Travel with Tilly is a daily geography game at travelwithtilly.com. This page explains what information the game uses and why. Questions or requests: [email protected].
Playing without an account
You can play without signing in. Your daily result is kept in your own browser’s storage so today’s card is still there if you come back; it is not sent to us unless you then sign in to save it. There are no adverts, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
If you create an account
An account is optional and lets you save scores and appear on the leaderboard. We store:
- your email address, used to sign you in;
- if you sign in with Google, the basic profile details Google shares (name, email address and profile picture) — we only use your email address;
- the player name you choose;
- your daily scores (the five question scores and the date) and stats worked out from them, such as games played, best score and streaks.
Your sign-in session is kept in your browser’s storage. We do not send marketing emails.
What other players can see
Your player name and scores appear on the public leaderboards. Your email address is never shown.
Services we rely on
- Supabase stores accounts and scores.
- Cloudflare hosts the website.
- Google handles “Continue with Google” sign-in, if you use it.
- OpenFreeMap (Classic map) and Esri ArcGIS (Satellite map) supply map images, which your browser loads directly from them.
Like any website, these services receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type when your browser connects to them.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. This permanently removes your account, player name and scores. You can also email us and we will delete it for you. To clear the result kept in your browser, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
Children
Travel with Tilly is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not intended for them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
